NBA, Streaming Platform Roku Inc Partner Up To Create FAST Channel and ‘NBA Zone’

This new NBA FAST channel is available exclusively through The Roku Channel only for a limited time.

If you own a Roku, love watching professional basketball, and want the experience to never en, there is some good news for you today!

The NBA has announced that it has partnered with the streaming device Roku to create the first ever NBA-branded FAST channel to the streaming marketplace. The creation of this channel is accompanied by the development of the NBA Zone, a section of The Roku Channel where everything and anything NBA-related will live.

If you’re wondering what FAST even is, FAST stands for Free Ad-Supported Television aka 24/7 programming airing directly to your Smart TV, tablet, phone, and any other smart device that you own. Joe Franzetta, the Head of Sports at Roku says, “We’re giving our users floor seats to an always-on experience, and we’re proud to be doing it in close collaboration with the NBA.”

The NBA Zone will include up-to-date programming featuring documentaries, new series, NBA highlights, re-airings of NBA games, and much more. It’s also worth noting that Roku is exclusively distributing the 40 live NBA G-League games for the league’s 2024-2025 season. Not only that, if you’re wondering about what to do with the beloved NBA app, just know that the app will be integrated into the NBA Zone as well. You’ll also be able to purchase the NBA League Pass, the league’s subscription service, if you aren’t already subscribed. The NBA Zone will also be able to be accessed through the Live TV Channel Guide or via The Roku Channel App.
