Audible Original Podcast Hosts Kenya Barris and Malcolm Gladwell Interview Brené Brown Live at SXSW

The Amazon-owned audio company, Audible, is releasing a live podcast taping of their acclaimed podcast, The Unusual Suspects with Kenya Barris and Malcolm Gladwell on Apr. 3.

The series’ co-hosts are award-winning writer, producer and director Kenya Barris (black·ish) and 5-time New York Times bestselling author and journalist Malcolm Gladwell who sat down with renowned author and researcher Brené Brown on the SXSW stage for a conversation about ‘reaching the pinnacle of success’. SXSW is a conglomeration of film, interactive media, and music festivals and conferences in Austin, within a one-week period in March. The taping included Brown speaking about her personal journey from ‘academic researcher to cultural phenomenon and discusses the pivotal moments that shaped her path.’ and was held on Sunday, Mar. 9 at The Austin Convention Center in Texas.

The Unusual Suspects with Kenya Barris and Malcolm Gladwell, which debuted on January 30, pulls listeners in with interviews conducted by the duo with guests such as actress, writer, and producer Issa Rae; Actress Chrissy Teigen; WNBA legend Sue Bird; Former Xerox CEO and the first Black woman to lead a Fortune 500 company Ursula Burns; Acclaimed writer, director and producer Ava DuVernay, Talk show host and comedian, Jimmy Kimmel, and Maryland’s first Black governor Wes Moore. Both Barris and Gladwell use the podcast to allow listeners into the minds of the world's most extraordinary individuals and how they were able to reach success in their distinct paths.
